Jenna Steele returned to UMW for her first season as an assistant coach for the UMW field hockey team in 2018. Steele returns to UMW after a two-year stint as assistant coach at Randolph-Macon College.

Steele posted a stellar career at Mary Washington, and ranks as one of the top scorers in program history. She scored 69 goals and accumulated 163 points, both career records for the Eagles. Steele had 23 goals and 50 points during her senior season. She was a First Team NFHCA All-American, Capital Athletic Conference Player of the Year and State Player of the Year by the Virginia Sports Information Directors in 2015.

In the spring of 2016, Steele earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychological Science. She is currently working on her master's degree from the Center for Sports Leadership at Virginia Commonwealth University.

A native of Rehoboth Beach, Del., Steele graduated from Cape Henlopen High School.
